The All-In-One Security (AIOS) WordPress plugin before 5.1.5 does not escape the content of log files before outputting it to the plugin admin page, allowing an authorized user (admin+) to plant bogus log files containing malicious JavaScript code that will be executed in the context of any administrator visiting this page.

The plugin only displays the last 50 lines of the file. The All-In-One Security (AIOS) WordPress plugin before 5.1.5 does not limit what log files to display in it's settings pages, allowing an authorized user (admin+) to view the contents of arbitrary files and list directories anywhere on the server (to which the web server has access). The Simple URLs WordPress plugin before 115 does not sanitise and escape some parameters before outputting them back in some pages, leading to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting which could be used against high privilege users such as admin. The patch that added the support for the conditional mitigation via prctl (ib_prctl_set) dates back to the kernel 4.9.176. We recommend upgrading past commit a664ec9158eeddd75121d39c9a0758016097fa96 This leaves the victim vulnerable to values already injected on the BTB, prior to the prctl syscall.

The ib_prctl_set function updates the Thread Information Flags (TIFs) for the task and updates the SPEC_CTRL MSR on the function _speculation_ctrl_update, but the IBPB is only issued on the next schedule, when the TIF bits are checked.

The current implementation of the prctl syscall does not issue an IBPB immediately during the syscall.
